Why do we require an application?

Our application process is in response to two of the most common questions our Riders have prior to booking a trip with us:

1) Am I skilled/fit enough to participate in this Ride?
2) Will the other people on my Ride be skilled/fit enough?

Ensuring that you - and the other Riders on your Ride - are a good fit for the Ride selected is of paramount importance to us. We want to help you pick the Ride that's perfect for you, and ensure that everyone booked on a Ride is on the right Ride for them. That's why we want to know a bit more about you - your mountain biking history, where you ride, how often, etc... - before we take your money.

We review every application and if, based on your responses, we think you're a good fit, we'll approve your application and you'll receive a link to place a deposit. If we think you might not be a good fit (either too skilled or not skilled enough for the Ride you chose), then we'll give you a call to discuss your preferences in greater detail.

Please note: our application process isn't about excluding anyone, or making anyone feel like they're not 'good enough' to participate in one of our Rides. It's about ensuring that you end up on the right Ride for you, with people of similar skill, fitness and riding preferences. In the end this ends up being a much better experience for everyone.

Day 1 : Single trail heaven around Montana then transfer to a glacier at 3000 metres where panoramic views to blow your mind and our mountain hut await.

From the city of Sierre we will take a cog rail up to Montana.  From Montana we will ride local single track trails until around 15:00 where we will take the cable car up to the glacier for a panoramic that will blow your mind, it will literally feel like you are on the top of the world.  From the lift station we will hike a bike for around 10 - 20 mins to a weather station where the view just get better and better.  From here we have a full 360 view of the Jura mountain to the north of Switzerland and the vast belt of the alps to the South.  IN one view we will be able to see Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn two of europes most iconic mountains.

Day 2 : Descend the longest single trail in Switzerland from the mountain hut through a tunnel and to the vineyards of the valley floor to the medieval city of Sion.

After a fantastic night sleep in the mountain hut we will have a breakfast prepared for us.

The fun then begins with Switzerland longest descent, we will begin on the high alpine rocks where you will feel like you are on the moon.  Technical and loose sections the top will slowly start to change to more manageable flowy trails as the landscape slowly changes, grassy out crops and mountain lakes.  The further we descend the vegetation will also change, the diversty of this trails is mind blowing.  Eventually we will reach a huge dammed lake with pine forests.  We have a sweet single trail in the forest where we will descend quickly some sections here have exposure (walking is necessary in places).  We will get to a point where the trail ends and we have a tunnel in front of us!!  The tunnel is so small we will need to turn the bars and crouch over to fit in, its kind of dark but no worries the swiss think of everything there is a light switch on the wall.  We will then squeeze through the rock face for about 30 - 60 seconds where on the other side the single track dream continues through pine forest and eventually to the vineyards of the lower valley.  In the distance we will get our first glances of the castles around Sion.  Our final desent takes us into the city where we can celebrate our achievement over a nice cold valais Beer or perhaps one of the fine wines from the region...Sante
